Today, UXV Technologies, a leading producer of technologies for unmanned systems and defense robotics, officially opened its state-of-the-art factory in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The 7,000-square-foot facility is situated in the Johnstown Area Regional Industries (JARI) Business Park in Cambria County. The opening ceremony featured UXV Technologies’ CEO, Steven Friberg, alongside distinguished representatives from state, county, and city governments, local business leaders, and members of the media. Notable speakers included Secretary Rick Siger of the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development, Danish Defense Industry Attaché HRH Brigadier General Prince Joachim, and President of JARI Linda Thomson.
“The official opening of UXV Technologies’ factory in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, represents a major milestone for our company,” said CEO Steven Friberg.

In response to the company’s rapid growth and increasing customer demand, UXV Technologies chose Johnstown as the ideal location for its new U.S. manufacturing facility. This decision was influenced by the city's skilled workforce, unique industry ecosystem, and supportive business environment.

UXV Technologies designs, develops, and manufactures drone and robotics technology for a variety of business and government clients, including the defense industry. The company specializes in command and control (ground control stations) solutions and sensors for a wide range of unmanned applications, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs), and subsea remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
